PPDS Thermodynamic Calculation Suite

The PPDS Suite provides quality-assured physical property data for a wide range of process engineering applications in the oil and gas, chemical, process and pharmaceutical industries. Users access reliable data for over 1500 compounds to calculate the properties of pure components and mixtures.The PPDS Suite is employed worldwide to help solve basic problems as well as to perform complex thermodynamic calculations. PPDS users can create and maintain user banks of proprietary data for pure components and binary systems. New and existing measured values can be used to perform a wide variety of calculations. There are three main modules:

• PPDS for Windows - the thermodynamic calculation engine
• DataExpert - the regression tool for estimating the properties of pure components
• PFit - the fitting tool for creating and maintaining data banks of binary interaction parameters (BIPs)

PPDS may be deployed at a single site or over a global corporate network and linked to process simulators and other engineering software. With its embeddable Excel macrosheet and its programmable interface PPDS provides the flexibility required for developing customized applications which can be run locally or remotely over a network or the Internet.
